Hainan will promote a no-hassle returns policy in physical stores, according to a joint guideline issued recently by the Hainan Administration for Market Regulation and Hainan Consumers' Committee.
Store operators can determine the category and range of goods, time limit (no less than seven days) and conditions.

Notices regarding no-hassle returns should be posted in a prominent position on websites or in stores. Consumers that need to make a return should present their receipt or other vouchers within the valid period and return the goods intact.
Operators that find consumers buying goods that are not for their own life needs or violating the principle of integrity shall have the right to refuse the return.
