The Rare Earth New Materials Testing and Evaluation Industrial Center will be established in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to an April 1 chinanews.com report.
The Baogang Rare Earth Research Institute applied for permission to establish the center, which was approved by the Ministry of Information Technology.
The Baogang Rare Earth Research Institute will take the lead in developing the only Rare Earth New Materials Testing and Evaluation Industry Center in China. This is of great significance to the development of the rare earth and new materials industry and provides strong support for the “Made in China 2025” strategy.
Baotou, China's leading supplier of rare earth materials, has long been committed to developing its rare earth industry, with the Baotou Rare Earth Hi-Tech Zone serving as the core of the industry. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
