Egypt and China have signed an agreement on establishing friendly relationship between north Egypt's Alexandria Governorate and southwest China's Guizhou province.
The agreement was signed during the visit of Sun Zhigang, party chief of Guizhou, who led a delegation to Egypt from March 30 to April 2.
At the invitation of the Free Egyptians Party, Sun met with First Deputy Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament Mahmoud El-Sharif, President of the Free Egyptians Party Essam Khalil, Nation's Future Party Secretary-General Hossam El-Khouly, and Governor of Alexandria Governorate Abdul Aziz Qansua.
During the meeting, they exchanged ideas on development of bilateral relations, inter-party communication and promoting regional cooperation.
The Egyptian officials said that Egypt is willing to enhance communication with the Communist Party of China, participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, and boost cooperation in fields including youth, women, vocational training, and poverty alleviation, to promote the development of China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership.
