The Yangzhou International Cycling Marathon, the second largest cycling marathon in China, kicked off in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu Province on March 31.

The competition was divided into four categories – women, men, 1+1 (women and men) and team. A total of 2,600 cyclists took part in the event.

According to the organizing committee, the 210-kilometer route passed through Yangzhou's five lakes and six districts, presenting participants with all the most beautiful aspects of the city.

"I am quite satisfied with today's performance. I was faster this year, thanks to the excellent route. The scenery was beautiful and the road condition was good as well," said Zou Xia, winner of this year's women's race.

Zou finished the competition in a time of 5:57:40.
