Southwest China's Guizhou province recently launched a preferential policy to boost foreign investment and high-quality economic development in the province.
According to the policy, institutions, national innovation centers, national key laboratories, national engineering laboratories, and manufacturing innovation centers invested by foreign businessmen will be able to receive a one-time subsidy of between 3 million ($445,560) and 5 million yuan.
Foreign-funded companies listed on the main board, SME board and second board, as well as new over-the-counter (OTC) markets, will be able to receive a one-time subsidy of 4 million yuan, 3.5 million yuan, and 500,000 yuan, respectively.
Foreign-funded companies can enjoy supporting policies involving shipping along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, expressways in Guizhou, and inland rivers.
Foreign-funded companies providing technology transfers, technological development, and technical consultations and services will be exempted from added-value taxes.
High-level overseas talents will enjoy the same preferential policies as Chinese citizens when establishing science and technology companies. They and their families will be provided with visas, housing, medical insurance, and other life services.
