Mongolian clothing shows at China Fashion Week

With a theme of "Eji’s pastoral song" -- in Mongolian language Eji means mother -- a total of 45 traditional Mongolia clothing and 30 innovative clothing designed with Mongolia ethnic elements -- went on show at China Fashion Week in Beijing on March 27.

Supported by Inner Mongolia's Culture and Tourism Department and the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, the clothing demonstrated at the show was the result of research and development of Arxan's bark paintings and the Mongolian embroidery of Horqin Right Wing Middle Banner.

Organizers said it is an attempt for relevant inheritors to utilize and develop traditional skills to create products and increase their incomes.
