An eclectic mix of traditional Asian melodies and European jazz, rock, and electronic music will mark the 9th Beishan World Music Festival on April 26 and 27 in Nanping Town.
This year's playbill has more than 30 musicians in seven bands from 10 countries and regions across five continents. They include Sisay from Ecuador, Paradise Hotel group renowned for Portuguese style, and Alonso Gonzalez Latin Jazz Quintet from Columbia. The star-studded lineup also contains prominent Chinese rockers and a Mongolian folk band.
Zhuhai and Macao families attending the event at Beishanli Square in Beishan Village can expect magic, balloons, intelligent robots, model airplane shows, and more. The synchronized recreational activities will be organized by education organizations as part of a parent-child carnival, according to Simon Xue, president of the Organizing Committee.
