The Sanya Paddy Field National Park was honored with a national award as the best modern tourism project at the 8th China Tourism Investment ITIA Awards Ceremony in Beijing on March 22.
The ITIA Awards are considered China's top honor for tourism investment due to their authoritative reputation, grand ceremony, and strong national influence. A total of 21 winners and 120 nominees were selected after two rounds of voting by 30 professional judges starting on Nov 1, 2018 and ending on Jan 20, 2019.
The award reflects the trust and praise given to the Sanya Paddy Field National Park from tourism professionals. It indicates a promising future for the park's new tourism model involving culture and agriculture.
Since the opening of the park, consistent efforts have been made to integrate traditional agriculture with tourism by carrying out projects like landscaping farmland and turning it into a tourist attraction. To explore the deeper cultural roots of the park, research has been conducted on combining traditional agricultural civilization with agricultural tourism resources. A series of farming activities and academic research reveal the park's practical educational value.
The park is home to numerous experimental bases and boasts a diverse array of scenic spots featuring cornfields, a sea of flowers, and models of dinosaurs.
In the future, the park plans to stick with the integrated tourism pattern emphasizing agricultural and cultural highlights. It will strive to become a popular holiday resort with scientific and research value. Customizable night parties are expected to help enrich the nighttime travel experience at the park.
