A total of 198 new public toilets are to be added in Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, within the next two years, and 126 are to be upgraded, according to a Baotou Evening News report on March 21.
Baotou city has been taking great strides in upgrading its public toilets since last year and six new intelligent and environmentally friendly public toilets have been opened in the city.
The new public toilet is manufactured using what is known as a single-pass forming technology with galvanized aluminum thin-walled light steel in its building structure, which has the advantage of corrosion resistance, wind resistance, strong shock resistance, durability and energy savings.
It is equipped with a device that is compatible with the "Smart City Public Toilet, Intelligent Management System". It can be connected with Smart City big data platforms, as needed, to achieve intelligent management and control.
In addition, the new toilet is more user-friendly in design. It adopts the latest advances in odor control technology, using a domestically developed high-energy plasma deodorizer, and has a special room which has a child-only toilet and sink, and a special toilet for people with physical disabilities.
