Zhejiang Supor Co Ltd

Founded in 1994, Zhejiang Supor Co Ltd is a cookware and small appliances company headquartered in Binjiang district, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. The company has established five research and development (R&D) centers and manufacturing sites in Hangzhou, Wuhan, Shaoxing, Yuhuan and Vietnam. It was the first company in the Chinese cookware industry to go public on Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Groupe SEB, a French company founded in 1857, paid 2.37 billion yuan ($296 million) to acquire Supor and became its controlling shareholder.

The company has become the highly recognized leader in China’s cookware industry in recent years, and the second-largest cookware manufacturer in the world. Supor has about 40,000 outlets, covering almost every corner of the country. Every year it sells more than 200 million products to more than 50 countries and regions, including Japan, Europe and Southeast Asia. It is also a leading brand in China’s small domestic appliances market.

The pursuit of innovation keeps propelling Supor to offer its customers products with ingenuity and high efficiency. For instance, the launch of the Steam Spheric IH Rice Cooker at the end of 2015 was a game changer for the industry by adding steam to the previous firewood cooking technology, making rice even tastier. The product has driven the market to launch a steam revolution and become the most popular rice cooker in the Chinese market.

In 2016, five products developed by the company – including TSP titanium Pro Wok, Thermos of Crystal Rhyme Series, and Knives of Sharp Series – won Red Dot Design Awards, which are considered the Oscars of the design industry.

Since 2013, e-channel has become a major platform for Supor to launch new products and conduct its retail business. It has already become a strategic partner of various major e-commerce platforms such as Tmall, JD.com, yhd.com, and Suning.com.
