The first intelligent park centering on the commercial use of fifth-generation (5G) technology in Zhejiang province will be launched in the cross-border trading town in the Xiacheng district of Hangzhou, with its signing ceremony held on March 22.
Jointly built by Hangzhou Xintiandi Group, a privately owned developer of tourism and cultural projects across China, China Unicom Hangzhou Branch and Huawei Technologies Co, the park is aimed at pushing ahead with the innovative application of 5G technologies and facilitating the development of high-end technology industries in Xiacheng district.
According to the agreement, the three parties will forge close partnerships in information technology and communication by leveraging their resource and technology advantages.
"Based on advanced technologies, such as big data and artificial intelligence, the intelligent park is expected to contribute to the safety, experience, cost and efficiency of the area through the use of integrated data," said an official from Hangzhou Xintiandi Group at the conference.
Innovative technologies including cloud virtual reality, augmented reality, and ground-based robots were presented at the conference.
The cross-border trading town in Hangzhou is the only provincial-level characteristic town featuring cross-border trade and has been listed as a national AAA scenic spot.
