Slogan, mascot ideas for WorldSkills Shanghai being sought from public

The preparation work for the 46th 2021 WorldSkills Shanghai is under way. The event's committee is soliciting the slogan and mascot design for the event from the public until the end of April.

The slogan is expected to revolve around the theme of young people's talent and it should promote exchange and cooperation, showing that important skillsets can boost high-quality economic development and realize personal values.

Also, the slogan should be catchy and the meaning, both in Chinese and English, should be expressed in a clear manner.

The winning entry will be rewarded with a certificate and 10,000 yuan (US$1,490); and five other excellent works will be selected and get 3,000 yuan each.

The mascot design should integrate elements of China and Shanghai, such as vividness, beauty, and modernization. It should also reflect Shanghai's city spirit: openness, excellence, intelligence, and modesty.

The winning mascot entry will be rewarded with a certificate and 30,000 yuan, and five other excellent works will be selected and get 6,000 yuan each.
