A multimodal transport center set up at a sea-railway combined transportation international logistics park project in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has been completed following more than one year of construction work, according to a March 25 Baotou Daily report.
The project, located in the city’s Jiuyuan district, covers an area of 24 mu (1.6 hectares), with a total construction area of 18,400 square meters, including a multimodal transport trading hall, and a railway operations check-in hall.
In addition, work on the Baotou B-type bonded logistics center in the logistics park has also been completed, potentially cutting storage expenses for import and export enterprises by up to 50 percent.
