Jilin Beishan four-season skiing park, a project supported by the General Administration of Sport of China, recently opened in Jilin city, Jilin province.
It is Asia's first and the world's fourth all-weather standardized skiing training ground. The new facility will provide a venue for professional athletes to train, especially those set to participate in the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, which will be held in Beijing and Zhangjiakou in Hebei province.
The impressive facility covers a construction area totaling 25,244 square meters and includes four indoor professional ski runs with a total length of 1,308 meters.
Jin Sixu, a second-grade primary school student in Jilin, regularly practices skiing at the new venue. She praised the new facilities, saying that she loves skiing and has been learning the sport for around one year.
