The 2019 China (Changchun) International Equipment Manufacturing Exhibition opened at the city's Changchun International Conference and Exhibition Center on March 25.
Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the event in Jilin province, which will conclude on March 27.
Advanced equipment and technologies such as lasers which are able to cut to an accuracy of 1 millimeter or less, aerospace optoelectronic equipment, robots, energy-saving equipment, and automatic medical equipment and packaging technology are on display at the event.
The exhibition, which has five areas covering 12,000 square meters, has 700 stands for 400 companies from all across the country, among which 241 are from other provinces, an increase of 10.4 percent compared to last year's event.
During the three-day event, forums on advanced equipment manufacturing industry are set to be held, with experts from all over the world exchanging opinions on the latest developments in the industry.
Changchun is currently seeing a quickening of the pace of its industrial revitalization, and the exhibition is expected to provide a further boost to the city's industries.
