2. Cycling route through the city

This elevated cycle track in Xiamen city, the first of its kind in China, provides easy access to bus stations, BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) stations, overpasses and buildings. Built above a bus lane, the path is about 7.6 km long and about 2.5 meters wide, with its highest elevated section 5 meters above ground. The path is exclusively for bicycles; electric bikes and other vehicles are prohibited.

Cycling on the path, tourists can enjoy the civic landscape from above to the fullest. The track also passes by Zhonglun Park with flower blossoms on show in all four seasons, and the glittering reservoir.
