East China's Zhejiang province held a recruitment fair in Hong Kong to lure high-caliber professionals for the development of its modern service sector on March 23.
A total of 117 companies, universities and research institutes from industries such as education, finance, the internet of things and the cultural and creative industries offered more than 1,600 jobs for Hong Kong job hunters. The average annual salary of these posts was over 250,000 yuan ($37,245.06) with 11 offering more than 1 million yuan for a year.
According to the Zhejiang Province Human Resources and Social Security Department, the 2019 fair was the 11th edition that Zhejiang has organized in the special administrative zone and was the largest ever held in terms of scale.

Tong Zhekai, a Ph.D. student from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, said he is very optimistic about Zhejiang's development, "Zhejiang is leading China in some advanced fields such as artificial intelligence and the internet. With a group of science and technology platforms including the Westlake University established these years, the province does have large space for further development."
