Yixing active participant in Yangtze River Delta's integrated development

A delegation from the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) visited Yixing city, Wuxi, for strategy research regarding the integration of the Yangtze River Delta on March 19.

The delegation was led by Ma Jiantang, secretary of the DRC Leading Party Members' Group. He visited the Yixing City Planning Exhibition Hall to learn about the overall situation.

According to Yixing City Planning (2017-2035), Yixing city is set to become the key point in the Nanjing-Hangzhou economic belt. Major expressway and railway infrastructure projects that can strengthen contact between the three regions in Wuxi city are also under construction to make the vision of a "one-hour commuting circle" between the Wuxi urban area, Jiangyin and Yixing come true.

The three regions in Wuxi city are promoting integration in various industries. The integrated circuit industry is forming a pattern of "design and manufacture in Wuxi, packaging in Jiangyin and raw materials in Yixing".

The delegation also went for a field trip to famous tourist spots in Yixing, including the Longbeishan Forest Park, Yixing Culture Center, Yixing Ceramic Museum and Hufu town.

Taking advantage of its beautiful natural and urban scenery, Yixing is promoting the construction of three main scenic spots along Yangxian Lake, Tongguan Mountain and Yun Lake and the development of "all-for-one" tourism in the Yangtze River Delta.
