Ordos in Inner Mongolia autonomous region has been recognized as one of the most sanitary cities in China in a national competition, according to a recent document released by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.
At the latest event, stricter rules were introduced to evaluate cities across the country. With a top score, Ordos passed the review by the competition’s committee and was named on the list with another eight cities.
The National Sanitary City Competition is held every three years, and the title represents the highest honor for a city in the field of urban sanitary and health management.
Early in 2011, Ordos was awarded the title “National Sanitary City”, and since then it has made unremitting efforts to improve its city landscape and urban sanitary management.
