Shenyang customs has zero tolerance of the illicit trade in endangered wildlife and products, according to local officials.
A total of 11 cases related to ivory product smuggling has successfully led to the seizure of contraband since the beginning of 2018.
The smuggled goods include ivory carvings, jewelry, painting works and other ivory products.
Since 2015, the Chinese government has rolled out measures to suspend the import of hunting trophies and ivory products.
China banned all domestic ivory trade at the beginning of last year, as part of its commitment to protecting wild animals.
