Direct flights linking Baotou in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Wuhan, Hubei province are to restart on March 31, providing a convenient option for tourists traveling between the two cities, according to Baotou Daily.
The flights, operated by Air China using an Airbus 320, will depart every day except Friday.
It departs Wuhan at 15:35 and arrives in Baotou at 17:30. The return leg departs Baotou at 18:35 and lands in Wuhan at 20:35.
Wuhan is one of Central China’s main cities and a key city of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It is also one of the country’s most important industrial bases, science and education bases and comprehensive transportation hubs.
The relaunch of the air route will help strengthen economic and cultural ties between the two cities, as well as shorten journey times for travelers.
In addition, China Express also plans to launch a Wuhan service in early April. The company will operate four flights per week initially, bringing the total number of Wuhan flights to 10.
