Tiangu Mountain
Tiangu Mountain in Qixia is composed of five peaks, with its main peak rising 542 meters above sea level. The local people consider the five peaks are symbols of fortune, longevity and wealth due to their accordance with China's philosophy of five elements – metal, wood, water, fire and earth.
Renowned as a small Mount Huangshan, the mountain boasts steep cliffs, with rocks looking like Buddha and Guanyin bodhisattva (Goddess of Mercy). A 1,000-meter-long wooden plank road was built along the mountain cliffs, and a 560-meter vitreous slideway was set up from mountaintop to its foot. The mountain was also the shooting place of the mythological drama Peng Lai Ba Xian (The Eight Immortals in Penglai).
