Aishan Mountain
Aishan Mountain in Qixia, a county-level city in Yantai, was formed during the period of the Yanshan Movement 100 million years ago. Its main peak rises 814 meters above sea level, the third highest in the Jiaodong Peninsula and the 10th highest in Shandong province.
The mountain is renowned as a small Huashan Mountain due to its special landforms and the more than 10 valleys that surround it. The scenic area has established a 6.4-km-long scenic byway, an 8-km-long climbing path, and an 817-meter-long ropeway for tourists. As well, a set of pseudo-classical buildings, including Sanqing Taoist Temple and the bell and drum tower, were also built up for visitors' enjoyment.
