Volvo Car Group inaugurated its Asia-Pacific Headquarters in Shanghai on Monday.
The Volvo Asia-Pacific Headquarters covers 200,000 square meters in Jiading District of Shanghai.
Yuan Xiaolin, senior vice-president of Volvo Car Group, said the inauguration of the headquarters marked the company's commitment to the sustainable development of the Asia-Pacific market with China as the center.
Volvo sold 130,593 vehicles in China in 2018, up 14.1 percent year-on-year. The company, acquired by Chinese automaker Geely in 2010, employs 38,000 people globally.
