Over 100,000 professionals have participated in the race since its opening, with around 25,000 people from 17 countries and 34 provinces participating last year.
The 2018 marathon boasted 300 experienced judges, 200 fitness trainers, 300 mobile toilets, and 14 recreational shows along the track to provide assistance and entertainment for runners.
Guiyang also arranged for 2,500 public security and fire control personnel, 1,288 volunteers, and 96 paramedics to provide security and first aid services. About 300 runners received treatment.

According to a big data report, participants were generally satisfied with hotel services, traffic conditions, infrastructure, scenery, dining, shopping, and overall friendliness.
The 2018 Guiyang International Marathon generated over 50 million yuan ($7.5 million) in tourism spending and 250 million yuan from consumer spending on transportation, tourism, dining, and accommodation.
Guiyang will take advantage of its natural environment and pleasant climate to increase the appeal of the marathon and make it known around the world.
