Health industry

The health industry is dubbed the sunrise industry in China. According to the Opinions on Promoting the Development of the Health Service Industry issued by the State Council, by 2020, the total scale of the health service industry will reach more than 8 trillion yuan ($1.2 trillion).

The industry has been gaining momentum in Putuo district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, thanks to the district's vigorous efforts to make the industry one of its top priorities in recent years.
Zhoushan boasts not only beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate, but also a profound Buddhist culture. After years of cultivation and development, the city has built strong foundations in the fields of medical services, old-age healthcare and leisure tourism.
