The Guizhou Provincial Tax Service recently selected the Guiyang national high-tech industrial development zone as a pilot area for the launch of an online value-added tax (VAT) plain invoice service. It will make use of Gogpay, an online government service app.
The app provides tax payment, invoicing, preservation, and reviewing services that will save taxpayers time and money.

Taxpayers can download and print an electronic invoice through the online platform at any time. The electronic invoice is identical to a paper invoice.
Electronic invoices can save on social resources, help protect the environment, and make services more convenient.
Next, the Guizhou Provincial Tax Service plans to improve its services and make electronic invoices available to all Guizhou citizens.
According to Liang Yong, deputy director of the Guiyang national high-tech industrial development zone tax service, electronic invoices allow the country to better supervise online transactions, protect the interests of consumers, and reduce the number of fake invoices.
Liang reminded taxpayers that fake invoices are against the law and would wreak havoc on invoice management and the market economy, leading to losses in national taxation.
