Singapore to guest at Pujiang Innovation Forum

The 2019 Pujiang Innovation Forum will be held from May 24 to 26, where Singapore and Hebei Province have formally accepted the invitation to be the guest of honor country and province, respectively.

The forum will promote technological exchange and cooperation between China and Singapore, and will also focus on the innovative development of the Yangtze Delta Region and the development of Hebei's Xiongan New Area.

Luo Dajin, secretary-general of the Pujiang Innovation Forum's Academic Committee, said the forum has been promoting innovative development and exchanges while serving as an international technological cooperation platform since it was established in 2008.

Despite its land-area limitations, Singapore is one of the world's financial and shipping hubs. The country's leading figures in fields such as politics, academia, and industries will attend the forum, which will facilitate China-Singapore technological partnership and promote bilateral cooperation in biomedicine, smart city, and digital economy.

Hebei has taken advantage of its global innovative resources in recent years to cultivate a new generation of technologies in fields such as information technology, new energy vehicle, and energy conservation. It has also gained competitive advantages in industries such as high-end equipment, biomedicine, new energy, and new materials.

Being the guest of honor province, Hebei will take the opportunity to promote the technological and innovative exchanges and cooperation among Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and the Yangtze River Delta region.
