A collection of 240 stamps centered around the life and work of physically and mentally challenged people from more than 220 countries and regions went on display in Nanjing, capital of East China's Jiangsu province.
The exhibition is underway at the country's first philatelic museum dedicated to people with disabilities. It is located inside Nanjing Normal University of Special Education.
Ji Jin, a staff member of the museum, said the purpose of the museum is to raise people's attention on people with disabilities and their lives, social welfare and special education.
Established in 1982 as the country's first of its kind, Nanjing Normal University of Special Education has trained more than 20,000 professionals for the country's special education. It said it is also planning to build a museum showcasing the professional life of people with disabilities in China.
