Hydrogen energy industry

According to the opinions of the General Office of the Municipal People's Government of Ningbo on accelerating the development of the hydrogen energy industry, 20 to 25 hydrogen refueling stations will be built in Ningbo by 2025; the number of hydrogen-fueled vehicles will exceed 1,500; and a group of hydrogen enterprises with international connections will be gathered. The city will strive to become a global hydrogen energy industry base.

In fact, hydrogen energy industry projects have already been successfully launched in Ningbo. At the beginning of 2019, the world's first mass production hydrogen fuel cell production base with methanol as the filling medium was inaugurated in Cixi. The project is divided into two phases. 

The first phase attracted an investment of 1.18 billion yuan ($176 million) and was designed to produce 50,000 sets of hydrogen fuel cells. The products will be preferentially applied to the power supply of new energy logistics vehicles. The launch of the project was an important part of Ningbo's layout of the hydrogen energy industry.
