The finals for the seven-day 2019 National Women's Boxing Championship held in Baisha Li autonomous county, Hainan took place on March 12, and the event concluded under the spotlight of the mainstream media.
This year's event attracted over 100 boxers divided into more than 40 teams from Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Hainan, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, and Tibet.
According to Zhang Chuanliang, chairman of the Chinese Boxing Association, this annual championship is the highest-level domestic women's boxing event and is important for qualifying for the Tokyo Olympic Games next year.
The event attracted boxing fans from around the world and helped promote the integration of sports and tourism.
