Hong Kong International Airport
Hong Kong International Airport in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has been in commercial operation since July 1998. It is the world's busiest cargo gateway and one of the world's busiest passenger airports. More than 120 airlines operate flights from the airport to over 220 destinations across the globe, including Guangzhou in Guangdong province, Tokyo, Singapore, Chiang Rai in Thailand, New York and London.
In 2018, the airport handled 74.7 million passengers and 5.1 million tons of overall cargo, with a year-on-year increase of 2.5 percent and 1.5 percent respectively. Flight movements reached 427,725, rising by 1.7 percent over the previous year.
