Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Railway
Guangzhou–Dongguan–Shenzhen Intercity Railway is a commuter line that connects Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport. The 76-km line traces roughly along the east bank of the Pearl River.
Construction of the railway began in December 2008 and is set to be completed in June 2019. After its completion, the trains will be operated like buses at five-minute intervals. It will take only one hour to travel from one end to the other.
The railway will boost connections between the three cities and stimulate their integrated development.
