Macau International Airport
Macau International Airport in Macao Special Administrative Region has operating since November 1995. It was the world's second and China's first airport to be built on the land reclaimed from the sea.
By December 2018, the airport handled regular flights to 53 domestic and international cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok and Chiang Mai in Thailand, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Taipei and Kaohsiung in Taiwan, and Singapore.
In 2018, the airport's volume of passengers hit 8.26 million, a year-on-year increase of 18 percent, while its cargo throughout from January to September of that year was 28,000 metric tons. Flight movements surpassed 65,000, with a year-on-year growth rate of 12 percent.
