Huizhou in Guangdong province has a solid foundation in agricultural production. In 2017, there were eight national landmark agricultural products and 92 provincial-level brand-name agricultural products, as well as 190 agricultural firms, 401 products and more than half crop-planting area in Huizhou recognized as "certified organic food", "green food" and "pollution-free food".

According to Wu Yihui, general manager of Sijilv Farm Product Co in Huizhou, building a green agro-production base has helped the area create a shared platform of national strategic importance for the city's high quality agricultural firms.

Wu added that when the residents' consumption structure has been transformed from feeding themselves to the pursuit of taste and health, organic and green agricultural products in the Greater Bay Area will usher in a new era with tremendous development opportunities in the future.
