Yangzhou jewelry designer wins global awards

The "Face" brooches series and "Cushion" rings series designed by Yin Caiyang, a 26-year-old jewelry designer from Yangzhou, recently won four awards at the 2019 Goldsmiths' Craftsmanship & Design Awards held in the UK.

Yin Caiyang started learning painting and calligraphy in childhood. After graduating from university, he entered the University of Edinburgh to acquire a master's of fine art in jewelry.

With rich social practice experience and remarkable achievements, Yin was chosen as a teaching assistant at the School of Jewellry of Birmingham City University, which ranked first in the world in jewelry major at that time.

According to Yin, he is now seeking collaboration to bring his work into the contemporary art market and into the lives of more people.

The Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council is an organization that represents the highest standards in design and craftsmanship within the jewelry, goldsmithing and silversmithing industries and allied crafts.

To promote excellence, the council runs the annual Craftsmanship & Design Awards, which also known as the "Oscars of the Industry".
