In-house motorsports are doing so well that the Zhuhai Airshow Center will soon become South China's first automobile testing and evaluation base.
A strategic cooperation agreement for the Jinwan District base was signed between the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute (CAERI) and Shenzhen Hunting Racing on March 6.
CAERI will help enterprises test vehicle performance and auto parts quality while performing fuel consumption assessments, and coach and truck trials. Shenzhen Hunting Racing meanwhile will diversify from but still include auto culture festivals, exhibitions, and races.
Nearly 60 auto events are already slated this year to fill the gap between biennial China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibitions, said Sun Jiefeng, vice general manager of the Airshow Center.
