Sheshan Hill bookstore sets up women's reading zone

"A Bookstore at the Foot of a Hill", a feature bookstore at the foot of Sheshan Hill in Songjiang District, has set up a reading zone for women, as part of its public interest project.

The section will serve female entrepreneurs and employees, especially those in emerging industries and technological fields.

Events like book club and movie club are held at the bookstore from time to time.

The women's zone project was in fact launched by the Sheshan Town Women's Federation, which, in February, also carried out other campaigns that collected winter clothes or books for charity sales or donation to less developed areas.

Subsequent charity events, including a fair, will be held in May.
