Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone
The Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone was approved by the State Council in August 2010, which is of strategic significance on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.
Guided by the principles of innovation, marketization, and international standards, the zone is positioned as a pioneer in institutional and mechanism innovation, the close cooperation of mainland Chia and Hong Kong, and the industrial upgrading of the Pearl River Delta. Four major industries developed in the zone are finance, modern logistics, information services, and technological services.
By 2020, the zone is striving to be a world-class modern service industry cooperation zone with complete infrastructure, an important production service center in the Asia-Pacific region, and a key base for international service trade.
At the end of 2017, the added value of firms registered in the zone reached about 150 billion yuan ($22.4 billion), achieving the national target of output value per square kilometers of up to 10 billion yuan.
