A bucolic past, creative present, and dynamic tomorrow are glimpsed in an LED animation that was shown March 5 on the scalloped sides of Zhuhai Opera House. Commemorating the 40th anniversary of Zhuhai being named a city were seaside fireworks, laser lights, and sky projections of locally produced unmanned surface vehicles.
Crowds filled the shore of Xianglu Bay to gaze up at the night sky as Zhuhai's achievements since it officially became a city in 1979 were thrice animated for 30-minutes each time.
Special evening for the Fisher Maiden
Part 1 of the video projection traces Zhuhai culture through the previous prehistoric fishery civilization, Baojing Bay Rock Carvings, Maritime Silk Road, and Hsiang-shan (Xiangshan) Culture.
The next section spotlights the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Hengqin Bay, Chimelong International Ocean Tourist Resort, Lovers Avenue, and the other iconic structures unique today to Zhuhai in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The most recent industrial breakthroughs come into focus in Part 3 with images of the AG600 amphibious aircraft, chips, robots, and unmanned surface vessels that have been produced in Zhuhai -- a sign of prosperity to come.
The show was broadcast live. There were also flash mobs expressing great love for the city.
