The Haikou Meilan International Airport in Hainan province recently won three 2018 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards in a list released by Airports Council International (ACI).
Its awards were "Best Airport in the Asia-Pacific (15-25 million passengers)", "Best Environment and Ambience (15-25 million passengers)" and "Best Infrastructure and Facilitation (15-25 million passengers)".
The airport in Haikou has been focusing on improving the passenger experience in recent years. It has improved its management systems, enhanced infrastructure and services quality, and improved its soft power to offer a superior travel experience for global travelers.
ASQ is the world's leading airport passenger service and benchmarking program. It measures passenger satisfaction by carrying out surveys at airports.
The program provides tools and information for airports to better understand what their passengers want from them in terms of products and services.
