The 2019 Harbin Spring Snow Festival opened at Yabuli Ski Resort on Feb 26, with the aim of encouraging tourists to try skiing and to explore the local area.
The resort is one of the most famous ski resorts in China, and is known for its excellent facilities and snow quality.
And, despite temperatures warming up a little with the arrival of spring, the conditions for skiing in Harbin are still optimal.
In addition, the local government is promoting four suggested itineraries in order to help visitors make the most of their time in the city, with routes including sightseeing by train and car, opportunities to ski, and chances to sample the cultures of Northeast China and Russia.
Meanwhile, platform jumping, snowboarding and cross-country skiing competitions will also take place, offering tourists an opportunity to admire professional skiing skills.
