Yuyao to hold Chinese robot summit in May

The sixth China Robotop and Intelligent Economic Talents Summit will be held in Yuyao city of Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province from May 8 to 10, according to a news conference recently held by the organizing committee in Beijing.

The city was set as the permanent venue of the annual summit in 2016 after it successfully held the third meeting.

Themed on "Robots and Intelligent Connection Empower Everything", the summit will focus on promoting the deep integration of robots, smart manufacturing and artificial intelligence (AI) to make robot technologies a part of every walk of life. 

The summit is expected to see the establishment of an international robot industrial alliance among some famous domestic alliances in this field such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area AI Alliance, and some global organizations such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. 

A white paper that analyzes the state of China's robot industry in 2019 will be first published at the summit.

There will also be academic exchanges, exhibitions and promotional activities of robots, as well as a robot combat competition designed for college students to improve their creative thinking.
