Recently, Changchun New Area public security bureau in Jilin province provided a concise way to acquire residence permits for 11 Hong Kong students studying at Jilin University, thus providing them more convenience and security in the mainland.
In accordance with the regulation, the residence permit will ensure the students equal opportunity in employment, social insurance, and the housing accumulation fund, as well as enjoying domestic flights, trains, and hotel accommodation.
Currently, 82 public security bureaus across Jilin province are already providing the service, with 102 residents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan receiving their permits.
