The import and export volumes of Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, hit 16.78 billion yuan ($2.51 billion) in 2018, ranking second among the leagues and cities in the autonomous region, according to a Baotou Daily report.
The figure represented a year-on-year increase of 24.5 percent and accounted for 16.2 percent of the total import and export value of the autonomous region.
The export volume was 9.94 billion yuan, up 13.2 percent and the import volume was 6.85 billion yuan, up 45.8 percent.
