Xianren Valley National Forest Park
Xianren Valley National Forest Park in Sanming, which is only 1 kilometer from the city center, covers an area of 1,488 hectares and has a forest coverage rate of more than 95 percent. It is the only well-preserved primeval secondary forest around Sanming city.
There are 95 major scenic spots in the park, including 34 geographical landscapes, 23 water scenes, and 16 places of historical interest.
In 2014, the park planted more than 1,500 cerasus campanulata cherry beside the Zilian (Purple Lotus) Bridge. The cherry trees in full bloom there resemble a morning glow when looked at from far away. Every year, the park's beautiful scenery attracts thousands of birds flying up and down and hundreds of tourists enjoying the beautiful scenery.
