According to a press conference for the 2019 Big Data Expo recently held in Beijing, the expo will focus on international participation, important industrial topics, exhibition fusion, launch events, and achievements displays.
This year's expo (the fifth Big Data Expo), which will take place in Guiyang from May 26-29, will explore the construction of a big data industrial chain, value chain, and ecosystem. Overseas exhibitors are expected to account for 40 percent of all exhibitors, and Google, Qualcomm, NTT DATA, Alibaba, and more famous companies have already confirmed that they plan to attend the expo.
Over 100,000 people are expected to participate in the expo, including 2,000 people of note such as Paul Romer, co-recipient of the 2018 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, and Whitfield Diffie, winner of the 2015 Turing Award.
High-end dialogues and professional forums will be held during the expo to discuss important and relevant topics related to the big data industry, including the digital economy, data security, intelligent manufacturing, 5G, and block chain.
Shubo Avenue (Big Data Expo Avenue) will be revealed for the first time during the expo. It is expected to become an exhibition center for advanced big data achievements and act as a sort of futuristic digital city.
The avenue is 20 kilometers long and covers an area of 74.56 square kilometers. It is centered on the integrated application of big data and will hold a series of public big data activities during the expo.
