The 31st Harbin Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo, part of the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival, concluded on Feb 24.
The 57-day exhibition opened on Dec 29, 2018 and welcomed 195,000 visitors from around the world.
The expo covered an area of 900,000 square meters and included five different exhibition areas. Incredibly, it got through around 120,000 cubic meters of snow.
In addition to a striking array of sculptures, the expo featured a 3D light show depicting the development history of Sun Island snow sculpture expo, as well as Harbin's ice and snow culture.
Following its closure, Sun Island Scenic Area was also closed to remove the snow sculptures and restore the park to its original appearance.
The park's reopening is expected to be announced shortly.
