Ziyang Hi-tech Industrial Zone

Formerly known as Ziyang Economic Development Zone, Ziyang Hi-tech Industrial Zone was upgraded to a provincial-level development zone in October 1995 and identified as a provincial-level high-tech industrial zone in April 2017. It is listed in the ten export-oriented industrial parks in Sichuan, and is the core area of Ziyang Sino-Korea industrial park. Covering a total area of 64.1 square kilometers, the zone has a population of 100,000.

In recent years, the zone has attached great importance to a better business environment in terms of polices, capital, supporting industries, government services, and the integration of the city and industries. It has fostered a range of featured key sectors -- the new rail transit industry led by a manufacturing and export base for locomotives, the new energy vehicle industry led by a manufacturing base for commercial vehicles and components, the green food industry led by a processing and delivery base for food and beverages, electronic information supporting industries led by Ziyang Tianfu (Huawei) cloud computing center and the health and medical industry led by a base for a complete chain of oral devices.

As of 2017, Ziyang Hi-tech Industrial Zone was home to 62 enterprises above designated size and realized total revenue of 30.9 billion yuan ($4.62 billion). The revenue is expected to reach 42 billion yuan in 2019 and 50 billion yuan in 2020.
