Party chief meets Hong Kong and Macao CPPCC members

Xu Wenguang, secretary of the CPC Quzhou Municipal Party Committee, met members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) from Hong Kong and Macao on Feb 24.

Xu, on behalf of the local municipal government, welcomed the CPPCC members returning home for the two sessions and thanked them for their support of their hometown's development.

He introduced the city's promising prospects and its development in transportation, urban planning and various industries, noting that the best view of the future is right in Quzhou.

Xu hopes CPPCC members from Hong Kong and Macao will be proud of their hometown and take a more active part in constructing Quzhou into a vigorous and beautiful garden city.

Ye Xin, chairwoman of the Hong Kong Quzhou Fellowship Association, said that all the association's members witnessed Quzhou's booming development over the past year.

She said that in 2018 the association has organized activities to advance exchanges between Quzhou and Hong Kong, including a tour by Hong Kong teenagers of Zhejiang and sharing of experience in community management.

Ye promised to contribute to Quzhou's development and call on more of her fellow Hong Kong residents to promote Quzhou.
